It’s just about time for Teacher Appreciation Week. And if you can read this, then you should be thanking a teacher.
Teacher Appreciation Week is usually the first full week of May. It’s a time we get to say “thank you” for putting up with my child who comes to school with bright orange gym shorts layered over green plaid pajama bottoms. My child who says, “I know.” whenever you are giving instructions (then demonstrates that, in fact, she doesn’t KNOW and should never say that!!!) My child who says, “wait.” before ANY SENTENCE EVER. My child who stuffs his backpack full of show and tell items on ALL days, not just show and tell days. My child who is practicing the art of poor decision making.
Heaven help the teachers!
One of my favorite things about cookie decorating, is being able to give really special cookies to people who have made a difference in my life and my family’s lives. While teachers probably want somebody to help them grade papers and a pay raise, our teachers just get lots of cookies throughout the year.
I made these cookies a while ago, but didn’t get a chance to post them, but they are some of my favorites! So, I thought I’d do it now, preparation for this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week. These were fun cookies and the sentiment is totally true! Teachers are Super Heroes!
