This is really not a new tip. But, just to be on the safe side I wanted to share it. In case you’ve been in a cave or something.
If you’ve got a recipe that calls for grapes or cherry tomatoes to be halved, you need this tip. Sure you can do each one individually, but I’ve got better things to do. Like try those new Oreos that have pop rocks in the filling. I tried to get my husband to buy me some, but he wouldn’t commit. So I guess I have to do the dirty work myself.
Back to the point.
To make quick work of halving those pesky grapes, all you need is two lids. These ones are my favorite because they have a recess to them.
Load up one side with your grapes or tomatoes.
Now put the other lid on top of your grapes.
It should make a nice little pod.
Now slide your knife between the two lids.
Oh wait. It doesn’t look like anything happened. But this is like one of those ninja movies. Where the ninja sweeps his ninja sword through the air, and the foe stands there for a split second and then…
There they go. Ready for your recipe. You may have to repeat a couple times. But that’s waaaay better than doing each and every one of those 38 grapes one at at time.
