I wanted to share my Christmas Sugar Cookies for 2015. I probably should have shared this BEFORE Christmas, but it just didn’t happen.
I always like making Christmas cookies. There are so many (maybe too many) possibilities. My pile of Christmas cookie cutters is as big as all my other cookie cutters. But this year, I wanted to make sure that I focused on one thing. That Christmas is about the birth of the Savior. Sure, there are snowmen and Santa Clause and elves… And I did make some of those things, but wanted to make sure that I represented my beliefs.
This year I made “A Savior is Born” Cookies. These clips are so powerful and I love them! I dare you to watch them and not be touched!
And, of course, I had to make some chalkboard cookies, since they are my favorite. I made “O come let us adore him” cookies. (Which I absolutely love, BTW.) I saw some Pinterested Arty McGoo cookies (I think) that had this type of border, which is really striking and surprisingly easy. It’s just a white edge that I striped with a red food color marker.
Here is an example of the whole spread.
Merry Christmas 2015!
Now it’s time to prepare for a new year!
