These parmesan dinner rolls are the best. They taste divine AND they are so super easy to make, you won’t even believe it.
The rolls are soft on the inside, but have a parmesan coating that is a little salty and savory with a little crispy crunch.
They are the perfect side dish especially when you don’t have time to slave over a side dish. Great for dinner parties or when you are taking in meals to people. You just need time for the dough to rise.
The key to these rolls, is using cheater frozen rolls, like Rhodes Rolls. Usually those are pretty blah and bland, but we’ll kick it up, don’t worry!
All you need is melted butter, green-can “abomination” grated Parmesan and your frozen roll dough. (This is one of the only times I use the green-can cheese.)
Dip each dough ball into melted butter. Roll it around, get it nice and coated.
Then quickly dip it in grated paremsan. Don’t waste time, or else the frozen roll will freeze the layer of butter and the cheese won’t stick.
Continue with the rest of the rolls.
Cover lightly with plastic wrap and allow to rise at room temperature according to your frozen roll directions. Usually about 30-45 minutes.
Remove the plastic wrap and pop them in the oven, again according to you frozen roll directions.
That’s it! So easy, and they taste like they were much more complicated.
