Let’s just be honest here. I’m plum worn out from Thanksgiving. I made 90 cups of mashed potatoes and 60 pounds of turkey for Thanksgiving this year.I think I will probably not recover until Christmas. And then I will need to recover from Christmas. What’s a girl to do?
Our Thanksgiving was epic. In case you didn’t know, we celebrated my Grandpa’s 100th birthday on Thanksgiving. Almost his entire family gathered to give him a metaphoric high-five for making it to be 100.
It was so fun to see many cousins that I haven’t seen in years. We had people from Washington State, Idaho, Texas, Wyoming and even one from Peru.
Today’s post is going to be short and sweet (or maybe just short.) Because I can’t force myself to put forth any more effort than is absolutely necessary.
Here are some cookies I made for a baby shower. I’m telling you what. Babies, babies everywhere you turn. It’s crazy! I feel like I have only been making baby shower cookies lately. But I can’t really complain. They just make you go, “ahhhhh.”
These were for a little boy baby.
When they were all finished I kinda wondered if they looked more like campaign cookies than baby shower cookies.
If you’re of the elephant persuasion and need some cookies, let me know. Meanwhile, I’ll be looking for some donkey cookies cutters, so I can maintain my political neutrality.
Happy Monday, now I need to go have a nap.
THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN for the profusion of Thanksgiving mashed potatoes and turkey ! You are truly extraordinary. Cute baby-shower cookies, too.
Love, Mom
I don’t know if you should bother investing in a donkey since most of your cookie clients will probably be content with the elephant…
